Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness. For more than 100 years, Boy Scouts of America has helped build future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun.
For children in Grades Kindergarten – 5th, Cub Scouting is the foundation of our organization and involves the whole family as parents pitch in to plan and deliver activities.
For youth 11-17 years old, this is the traditional Scouting experience. While there’s guidance from experienced leaders, Scouts take their own lead, exploring places they’ve never been as they dive into the rugged world of outdoor adventure. (Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org)
Cub Scout Pack 244 and Boy Scout Troop 244 are based in Laveen, with members from throughout the surrounding community. The pack and troop are active in many community service projects such as picking up trash each year along the Laveen Community Parade route and helping set up tables and booths for the annual Laveen Pit Barbecue. The troop and pack meet during the school year on Monday nights from 7-8 p.m. at the Gila River Boys & Girls Club at Pecos Road and 51st Avenue. Interested families are encouraged to come to a meeting to learn more about joining, contacting our leaders for more information or visiting https://www.grandcanyonbsa.org/.
